Plastic surgery has been traditionally regarded as a posh treatment that only celebrity or wealthy individuals underwent, but financial well-being no longer sets the standard in beauty. The rate of cosmetic procedures among individuals of all socioeconomic backgrounds, and with males and females of all ages who wish to improve their looks, has increased. The recent growth of cosmetic procedures occurring within the general population has initiated the advent of numerous financing options to accommodate patients restricted by every budget.
Most cosmetic procedures are not covered by insurance as they are considered elective; however, there are times when a situational cosmetic procedure can improve a patient’s quality of life: A rhinoplasty may be performed to correct a deviated septum or other nasal trauma that interferes with one’s breathing, and will also improve the overall look of the nose; a blepharoplasty surgery can correct droopy skin of the upper eyelids that interfere with vision, while simultaneously awakening the eyes. It is in specific instances such as these that the surgery will likely be covered by insurance.
In procedures where insurance will not cover any portion of the cost of a cosmetic surgery, Revesse accepts various forms of payment which include cash, check, bank draft, personal loans, Credit Medical, iFinance Medical. At the initial consultation Dr. Mounsey will discuss these optons with you and guide you through the process. After the cost of your surgery has been determined, if cash or check payments are not an option, you can speak with your bank about increasing your credit limit. Your bank will also be able to explain the variety of personal loans they offer.
Another option is apply for a Medicard to cover a portion of, or your entire surgery. The patient financing company will pay the doctor directly and you can decide how much the time you’ll need to make payments to Medicard. Many of these payment options can be used in conjunction two to avoid large loan repayments or unfavorable interest rates.
