Question: Are Gore-Tex implants good options if implants are needed in the nose?
Answer: Gore-Tex is a synthetic material that can be used for various implants. My preference when using implants in the nose is to use a natural tissue such as cartilage from the nose, ear or rib. You can also use tissue from various other parts of the body. This tends to give good results. The one risk of using synthetic materials is that they can extrude and they can cause infection and pain. That is why my first option for any nasal implant is natural tissue.
