Question : Are there any permanent injectable fillers? Are there any advantages to them?
Answer : There are permanent and long-lasting fillers. The major disadvantage is that once the filler is in there, it is very difficult to remove by its nature because it’s permanent. Most patients prefer to start off with shorter acting fillers so they can see whether or not they like it and whether or not they like the look. Also, styles and taste change over time, so you may want to be able to change exactly what you’d do over time so you may not want a permanent filler. However, some people are certain that they want a permanent filler in their cheek area or in other areas to create a certain look, and then after they’re done some semi-permanent fillers they then can opt to have a permanent and final result.
