Question : I remember being told after my first rhinoplasty that it can take a year or longer to achieve your final results, and I really did have swelling present for that long. Is this true of revision rhinoplasty as well?
Answer : In the case of revision rhinoplasty, it really depends on the exact nature of the procedure. Some of the revisions I do are fairly minor and the final result is present after a few months. In some cases, however, if it’s a more major revision it can take one full year before the final result is achieved. However, as a general rule, it’s always good to wait for one year before you assess the final results of any rhinoplasty procedure.
