Question: I’m interested in rhinoplasty but I’m concerned about it being obvious to people afterwards. Do you have any suggestion for dealing with this? Do you tell people or not tell people?
Answer: After a rhinoplasty procedure, patients have different approaches in this matter. Some patients will postpone their mainstream activities for a week or two until the swelling is healed. However, the rhinoplasty, depending on what is done, may be obvious to people who know the person well. Some people like to be upfront and mention their surgery, but others may not. Many patients will be told that they look refreshed or asked if they’ve been exercising or have lost weight. How the patients manage this really is personal and depends on each person’s desires.
