Question: When using ear cartilage for a graft in a revision rhinoplasty procedure, how is the ear affected?
Answer: Harvesting of the cartilage in the ear can be done from in front or behind the ear. The incisions are placed so that they are not visible. Cartilage is also taken in a fashion so that the appearance of the ear is unaffected. Scars can be placed so that they heal in a very inconspicuous fashion.
