Question : I have a friend who had a facelift and her mouth looks very strange now, sort of wider and stretched out. Does this always happen in a facelift?
Answer : This is not a common occurrence in the facelift. It is important when doing the dissection and re-suspending the tissues that the surgeon uses the correct vectors of pull to make sure that the facelift is appropriate for the patient and brings the tissues into a natural position. If the pull is not correct and the tissue is not suspended correctly, it can have a very abnormal and unnatural appearance.
