Question : I have some very deep wrinkles above my upper lip. I had Juvederm injected there but I really didn’t like the results because it looked bumpy and I still had the wrinkles. Is it the product that was used or more the doctor’s technique that would be to blame?
Answer : It is very important to understand which filler is correct for what problem and to make sure you choose them appropriately. Juvederm is an excellent product which has a great track record and has been used in my hands for very good results. For upper lip grooving, you may need to use a type of Juvederm to fill very small wrinkles. The other option is laser skin resurfacing which is very good for perioral wrinkling. Occasionally, you can get some hyperpigmentation, but in general this is a very good option. So it’s very important to choose the right product. Choosing the right product and the right technique can give you an excellent result.
