Question : I’m interested in injectable fillers to plump up my lips. I know that they wear off over time, but how do they wear off? Do your lips gradually go back to their original size or does it happen all at once? Will it be noticeable to others?
Answer : Generally, with the fillers over time, your body degrades the compounds and your lips slowly return to their original size. There is some question as to whether or not there is some residual result due to some inflammation or some fibrous soft tissue. However, in general, it is a gradual process and people will not notice this. However, if a surgeon takes a series of photos he will notice that if the lips have decreased to a sufficient size it may be time to have another procedure.
