Question: I’ve had a dent on my nose for the past 5 months. My rhinoplasty was a year and a half ago. My surgeon recommended restylane but that isn’t permanent. What other options do I have?
Answer: If there’s slight irregularity of the dorsum of the nose, many are going with the new trend toward using filler agents to restore the appearance. The advantages of the filler agents are that very precise control can be done and results can be quite good. If the patient does not want to have repeated injections, the patient can have another surgical procedure where graft cartilage of the nose or the ear or other parts of the body is used to correct this asymmetry or, depending on what the irregularity is, surgery may be needed only to file or reshape the nose.
