Question : I’ve had recurrent nosebleeds ever since my nose job which was about a year ago. Is this normal?
Answer : After a rhinoplasty procedure, it’s not common to have recurrent nosebleeds. It is very important to see a surgeon with a background in otolaryngology / head and neck surgery to assess your nose. This will include a flexible fiberoptic exam of the nose as well as examination of the ancillary structures such as the paranasal sinuses and other tissues to see if the source of bleeding can be found and managed. It’s also important to look at other medical causes of nosebleed. Generally, after rhinoplasty surgery, once everything is healed, recurrent nosebleeds is not a major problem.
