Question: Is Juvederm made of any bacterium or proteins? If so, is it common to have an allergic reaction to it?
Answer: Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid filler used in the dermis with quite good results. Juvederm is derived from a bacteria of sorts which is called Streptococcus equi, but this is not in the product and allergic reactions are very rare. You are not injecting a bacteria into your body.
