Question : I would like lip augmentation but I’m allergic to lidocaine. I’ve heard injections in the lips are very painful so I want to make sure I can minimize pain. What other options do I have?
Answer : While many fillers do contain lidocaine, there are some lidocaine-free fillers available. Fat injection may also be another option. The lips can be numbed with other numbing agents such as regional lip blocks or even ice so that the lip injections are painless.
