Question : I would love to get some fillers in my face but I have never been good with shots. Is there any way to put me under or sedate me for the procedure?
Answer : For most of my patients who are afraid of needles, I numb the area with ice or use a local anesthetic and then perform the filler procedure. It is not necessary to put the patient under a general anesthetic or sedation for this procedure. Once the area is numb, you will not feel the injection and quite often the filler materials that I use have a local anesthetic in them so they do not cause any problems.
