Question : I never had a problem with my nose but now, as I’m about to turn 60, I’ve been noticing that it’s changed in shape over the years. The tip seems to have become more round and my nostrils more noticeable. I’m in Toronto and I’d like to know if this is something that you can fix with a nose job. Is it normal for changes like this to occur with age?
Answer : The nose does change with age and continues to take on a new appearance. Gravity changes and skin laxity as well possible trauma to the nose can all play a role in this. This is quite normal and can be expected. I see many patients with the same considerations as you have and I think there are many good procedures to address this that can improve the appearance of the nose to reshape it to a more aesthetic appearance. There are many good techniques to restore, rejuvenate and improve the nose.
