Question : I had lip augmentation about ten years ago. I believe it was with silicone. I never really loved the results, but they look even worse now, bigger, uneven and lumpy. Is it possible to fix this to make my lips a little smaller and smoother?
Answer : Silicone was a very common product used for lip augmentation in years past; however, many individuals were left with unsatisfactory results. Fortunately, lip revision can often help. In the case of silicone injections, this may require an ncision made inside of or on the lip to remove the silicone and tissue may also need to be grafted to the lips to recreate a natural and symmetric lip contour.
