Question : I had Artefill in my nasolabial folds years ago. Is it possible to inject a different type of filler now in the same area or would the Artefill get in the way?
Answer : Artefill is non-resorbable and is injectable. For most of my injectables, I like to use something that will dissolve over time because this will allow you to change your look and to change things as it evolves. Artefill is a long-lasting agent and this is a polymethylmethacrylate and also contains bovine collagen. This is a non-resorbable filler, although it may be possible to inject some newer dermal filler to try to improve something in this area depending on how many years ago the Artefill was there and depending on the changes.
