Question: My revision rhinoplasty is scheduled for next week. I’ve been very excited all along but as the days get closer I’m really starting to freak out. I guess I’m getting scared that this one won’t turn out well either. I had no idea that preparing for a revision rhinoplasty with be so much more stressful. Any suggestions?
Answer: Rhinoplasty can be a stressful event that has the potential to alter your appearance in a major way. Having a second procedure performed due to the fact that the first procedure has not gone as well can add to mistrust. It is important to speak with your surgeon and discuss your concerns. This will probably allay most of your concerns. If you find that you’re having undue stress and this is affecting your work or your relationships with those closest around you, you may need further help in dealing with your stress and your rhinoplasty surgeon can direct you to experts to help you with this.
