Question : I recently heard of something called a trampoline neck lift. What is this?
Answer : The trampoline neck lift is a technique to lift the neck. This procedure is usually done with a series of small pinprick-style incisions at the jawline. Through these holes, the suture is tied tightly and this is similar to tightening the strings in a trampoline. The advantage of the procedure is it’s done under local anesthesia. This is also less invasive for patients. However, it is very important with new techniques to realize that quite often these things have to be tested and they need to stand the test of time. This procedure is new and may offer some exciting benefits; however, a long-term follow-up and also a scientific review, if available, is also important in selecting patient procedures.
