Question: While I would love to have my lips enhanced, I’m weary of a possible complication. What type of filler do you use for lips and are there problems associated with that filler? Can the filler be removed if I don’t like it?
Answer: In general, I favor a hyaluronic acid non-permanent filler for the lips. There is a substance which can be injected if the filler needs to be removed on an emergency basis, however over time the filler will dissolve and the lip will return to its normal state. As with any injection, there can be redness or a potential infection or collection of blood in these areas. Fortunately these complications are not common.
