Question: I want an ear pinning procedure done to fix my mousy ears. Are the incisions relatively small?
Answer: The incision on the ear is very small and well tolerated. There are also newer techniques where even smaller incisions are used. This technique is called the incisionless otoplasty because a series of very small nicks are made in the ear and the ear is reshaped. This technique is very good but is not suitable for all ears. In general, if major correction is required an incision may need to be done.
