Question: I’m very self-conscious about the fat in my neck. I would like to have either liposuction done in that area or a necklift. What is the difference?
Answer: An aging neck is a very common problem that many people experience. Tissues of the neck consist of the skin, subcutaneous fat and the muscle. These can all be managed to various degree to enhance the appearance of the neck. Quite often, I perform a necklift and I perform liposuction with a small cannula to remove the excess tissue. Neck procedures are done on the muscle and then the neck is elevated.
