Question : I’m about a month post-op from rhinoplasty to decrease the overall size of my nose. While I can see some improvement already, I feel like the nose tip is very swollen and appears even larger than before. It actually seems to have become more swollen since the cast was removed. Can I expect this swelling to go down or is it likely that I’ll need revision rhinoplasty?
Answer : As soon as the cast comes off there may be some swelling or fluid in the nasal tip region. The skin may also be more swollen than normal. You can expect that this will improve over time.
