Question: My nasal tip looks very crooked, I don’t know if other people notice it but it really bothers me. Is this something that can be fixed with a nose job? And how will it be done?
Answer: Asymmetry, or a crooked tip of the nose, is a very common problem. There are many good techniques which can be done to improve the appearance of your nose. The nasal tip is comprised of cartilage which, along with some surrounding structures, determines the shape of the nasal tip. Depending on the exact deformity or the cause, an appropriate appearance of the nose surgery can be achieved either by making an incision on the outside of the nose on the little bridge of skin under the nose called the columella or the surgery may be done inside the nose. The cartilages of the nose and also the surrounding tissues of the nasal support septum may need to be corrected to improve this problem.
