Question: I don’t have the normal puffy eyelid problem. Mine are quite sunken instead. Will blepharoplasty fill out these hollow areas around my eye?
Answer: In the past, with some of the techniques of blepharoplasty, the eyes had a very hollowed out appearance. This resulted in techniques where a great deal of fat was removed. This is very difficult to correct. Some patients naturally have a hollowed appearance of their eyes. Some surgeons with an expertise in fat grafting are other techniques have been able to improve this appearance. This is a very specialized technique performed only be a handful of facial plastic surgeons. It is best to see these surgeons to determine if this is possible in your case.
